Tuesday, September 26, 12noon-1pm, outside of U.S. Senator Rob Portman’s Columbus office, 37 W. Broad St., Ste. 300

The Senate’s latest iteration of Trumpcare is equally as bad as prior bills and is gaining steam. They may be close to the 50 votes needed but Portman has yet to weigh in. This is our chance to kill Trumpcare for good because any ACA [Affordable Care Act] repeal/reform effort must be voted on before 9/30. If Portman’s a yes, millions may lose their coverage. Please show up and bring a friend!! Zombie attire optional.

Monday, September 18, 4:30-7pm, Columbus City Hall, 90 W. Broad St.

Join us at Columbus City Hall to hear Columbus City Council and the Columbus Police Department respond to demands delivered — and questions about — Columbus Police killings: Trae Darson (20) in 2006; Deaunte Bell (25) in 2015; Henry Green (23) in 2016; Kawme Patrick (25) in 2016; Tyre King (13) in 2016; Jaron Thomas (36) in 2017; Kareem Ali Nadir Jones (30) in 2017; Columbus Police brutality recorded on video: DeMarko Anderson (26) in 2017; and Timothy Davis (31) in 2017.

Monday, August 28 to Wednesday, September 6, Charlottesville, Virginia to Washington D.C.

We are marching from Charlottesville to Washington D.C. to demonstrate our commitment to confronting white supremacy wherever it is found. It’s clear that we can no longer wait for Donald Trump or any elected official to face reality and lead. We are coming together to reckon with America’s long history of white supremacy so that we can begin to heal the wounds of our nation.

Friday, September 8, 3-5pm, John W. Bricker Federal Building, 200 N. High St.

Join us in Columbus on September 8 to rally against Energy Transfer Partners and the next lease auction of Wayne National Forest land to oil and gas companies.

The next Bureau of Land Management lease auction of Wayne National Forest to gas and oil companies will be September 21; ETP’s disastrous Rover Pipeline, which has already destroyed an Ohio wetland area just in its construction phase and goes through private land within WNF’s acquisition boundary, is set to be operational by November.

Sunday, August 27, 1:30-3:30pm, OSU Oval

In the wake of Charlottesville, the fascist “alt-right” has announced their intentions to organize another violent rally in Berkeley, California on August 27. Over eighty Berkeley community organizations have issued a statement asking for supporters to organize solidarity actions against right-wing hate and violence across the country to coincide with their own counter-protests.

Wednesday, September 13, 9:30-10:30am, on High Street in front of the Ohio Statehouse; and outside of the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility, 1724 Ohio Rte. 728, Lucasville, Ohio (contact info@otse.org for car pool info)

Saturday, August 19, 2-3pm, Columbus City Hall, 90 W. Broad St.

Last Saturday, the face of hate descended on Charlottesville to wage a campaign of terror and violence. It was not an anomaly. America was “discovered,” founded and built on an ocean of blood and genocide and our legacy of racism remains alive and well today. This Saturday, the nation responds in solidarity by calling out for the removal of local symbols and institutions of white supremacy.
