Green Columbus Seventh Annual Tree Giveaway

Sunday, October 12, 9am-2pm, Linden Tree Nursery, 1142 E. 17th Ave.

This fall, Green Columbus will be hosting its seventh annual tree giveaway in an effort to increase the urban forest of Columbus. We will be hosting three free tree giveaways to distribute hundreds of three-gallon native trees to Columbus residents. Residents may choose from a variety of species — red oak, tulip poplar, red maple, black cherry, and sycamore — all of which are native to Ohio and support native plants and animals. Trees are grown in our tree nursery in Linden, Ohio.

Join Columbus Vegan Meetup at Vida’s during their fifth-year anniversary. Smoker is going to be out and a special anniversary menu item!

New Saturday dinner hours are from 9am to 8:30pm (last menu order at 8pm) with happy hour drink specials, from 6pm to 8pm, that will feature local draft beers and cocktail drinks. Join us and meet fellow vegan and animal activists while supporting local family-owned vegan businesses.

If you live within the Lower Olentangy Watershed and would like a free tree to plant in your yard, come on down to our Worthington Tree Nursery Tree Giveaway! After growing our tree saplings all spring and summer, our trees are ready to go to their forever homes. Trees vary in type and size so there is something for everyone.

They are organizing to create a non-police emergency response system that serves all Columbus residents — rooted in care, anti-racism, and true community safety.
