FREE Center Special Event: Loretta Ross - Reproductive Justice as Human Rights

The Center for Feminist Research, Education & Engagement (FREE Center) is thrilled to welcome academic, feminist, and activist Loretta Ross. Ross is a cofounder of SisterSong and Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective and is one of twelve women credited with coining the phrase and framework “reproductive justice.” Regarded as a key voice on women’s rights, she continually combats racism, sexism and sexual violence, particularly by creating coalitions by and for women affected by these inequities. 

During this 90-minute talk and Q&A session, Ross will address the origins of the term “reproductive justice,” using a human rights framework to center the movement and its applicability to current and future reproductive health and social justice issues.  We also invite you to join us for a pre-event reception at 4:00 PM, which will feature community partners from across Central Ohio who are active in the reproductive health and social justice spaces.
