Super PACs can be abolished
How is Donald Trump managing to receive $1 million bribes (by a more polite name, of course) for a dinner at his Florida lair?
What is Elon Musk using to offer voters in state elections $1 million for their votes?
How is Vivek Ramaswamy flooding televisions in Ohio with his campaign for governor over a year out from any election?
What is spreading like an epidemic into local races like those for mayor of Boston and New York — with Andrew Cuomo in New York seeming to skirt the rules by using this entity as if it were his campaign, and one billionaire dumping $1 million into attacking a candidate in Boston?
If you said "Super PACs," you're right! Click here to tell your state to get rid of them!
A list of the reforms needed by the U.S. election system could fill, and has filled, many a book. But the fundamental reforms without which no others will have the needed impact are:

“Conversation with Don Bryant Concerning the West Bank,” hosted by Jewish Voice for Peace Central Ohio
Tuesday, April 29, 7pm
this on-line event requires advance registration
Don Bryant will be speaking about his recent trip to the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability and his local activities for peace and justice in the Middle East. Don was born in 1956 in Maumee, Ohio. In 1980, Don woke up to community activism after attending his first rally, the tenth commemoration of the May 4 shootings of Kent State students by the Ohio National Guard. He then joined a local campaign, Save Our State from Radioactive Waste (SOS). The campaign was a success in halting the US Department of Energy from storing nuclear waste in the salt mines under Lake Erie. During the 1980s, He joined the Nuclear Weapons Freeze Campaign. In 2002, when anti-Muslim bias was rising, Don joined with members of Women Speak Out for Peace and Justice to co-found the Greater Cleveland Immigrant Support Network. He joined the Cleveland Peace Action (CPA) Board of Directors in 2016 and serves as co-chair of the CPA Middle East Committee. Don is now CPA Board president.

“A Bright Spot Amidst the Chaos” - From New York to Minnesota, the Rights of Nature are Growing
About half of all waters in the United States are too polluted for swimming, fishing, or drinking.
That, according to advocates, is why we need the Great Lakes and State Waters Bill of Rights, a new law which was introduced into the New York legislature by Assemblyman Patrick Burke (District 142) on March 19th.
The bill, AO5156A, if passed, would be the first ever state-level “rights of nature” law in the United States. It would recognize “unalienable and fundamental rights to exist, persist, flourish, naturally evolve, regenerate and be restored” for the Great Lakes and other watersheds and ecosystems throughout the state.
